Personal Trainer for your home

It occurred to me that organizing is a lot like getting fit....

  • You start with feeling fed up - "this has go to change"
  • Then you take drastic action - start a new way of eating, join a gym (buy an organizing book, search on line for professional organizers)
  • followed by a few days of BIG EFFORT (in the gym, in the kitchen, or clearing clutter)
  • Then...old habits kick in (excuses mount and your paper piles re-surface)... because this is really how you do things, this is what you know, this is your M.O.
I say working with an organizer is like getting liposuction. I can get you "skinny" over a weekend but there is a lot of work around the habits which "got you this way" (time management - too much on your plate, not enough time/energy, ...) which we need to address too.

After Lipo., one needs to radically change their eating and exercise to keep the weight off. Same with getting and staying organized.
