Kleenex and Landfills

So, you're sick with this cold that everyone seems to hav
e.

Your normal, Eco-conscious practice is to use your handkerchiefs to blow your nose but now, you're infectious and a "high-producer", needing to "blow" through your stash of handkerchiefs and keep the loads of laundry going.
If you must use a facial tissue during times like these, I recently learned our used tissues are COMPOSTABLE.

In summary:
Dark GREEN option = no facial tissues purchased
Medium GREEN option = compost your facial tissues *

*Note: depending on where you compost your facial tissues, this might not be ideal. In Boulder County, the curb-size composting program happily accepts your nasty, used tissues, saying the heat (of composting process) kills off bacteria or viruses your snot may have.
