Gun Disposal

How to get rid of a gun you don't want.

I had a new situation come up this week and I thought I would create a post because this will surely come up again. If you're like my client's, you have a gun in your home that you no longer want. You might have bought it under different circumstances than you're living now or you inherited or were gifted this gun in the past and you don't want it any longer.

I'm here to help you get rid of things you don't want in your life.

I understand why a GUN is one of them.

1. Run a background check on anyone you are thinking of giving or selling a gun to for $15-$25 through Colorado Bureau of Investigation- Records Check. They will make you register to use their site and enter a CC #.

From Colorado Bureau of Investigations Site:

https://www.cbirecordscheck.com/CBI_New/CBI_NewIndex.asp?KTICHC=DA9FE9B85B274A7A8E3C14BEE0A7711F&RTT=191418

What information does a criminal history check consist of?
"Criminal history data is based on fingerprint submissions from law enforcement agencies within the State of Colorado. CBI is not allowed to disclose information from other state or federal databases. Sealed records are not released to the public. Warrant information and criminal arrest information regarding juveniles is not released to the public by the CBI, but some such records may be released to the public by the arresting agency, the agency that filed the case or the court. "

2. If you don't want the gun to exist anymore: i.e. you think there are too many guns in the "wrong hands" or you don't believe in using guns, you can take it to a police station and they will melt it down. *Note: Call (their NON-EMERGENCY LINE) first to make sure your police station does this AND is okay with you traveling with the gun to get to them.

How to Effortlessly Look 10 lbs Thinner!

Looking "thinner" is all about looking taller and balanced. A balanced body is what we've learned to call an "hour glass figure". Shoulders and hips of equal size with a smaller waist.
Five Tips to Effortlessly Look Taller and Balanced:
Even if we don't have this shape, it's easy to fake and here's how:
1. Wrap Dresses or Tops - These options create the impression of a smaller waist.
2. Belted Cape or Sweater- Wear a thick belt to make the waist look smaller.
3. Skip the Flap-Pocket on Jeans- If you need to add some padding to your rear, wear a flap on your pocket. Otherwise, don't, and save yourself from increasing the size of your derriere.
4. Skip the Knee High Boots - These shorten your legs visually, making you look short and stout. Matching your tights and skirt to your black boots, for example, is one way to salvage the use of your boots. The monochromatic effect will lengthen you again.
5. Skip the Cropped Pants - Like the boots, these visually shorten your legs. I like long shorts over short pants. Wear shorts to your knees but not pants to your mid calf. Your leg looks 12" shorter and that's a bad thing.
